  1. KILOBYTERS, copywright (c) 1993 by Dave Byter.  Proliferate freely.

  3. KILOBYTERS are meant to fill up the unused space on a disk, much like cartoons
  4. and public service advertising do in a paper newspaper. It is free space, and
  5. the distributor fills it by the kilobyte.

  7. Anything goes.  All works must be signed.  They may be copyrighted, but must be
  8. freely copyable.  Kilobyters can be cartoons like MISS_BAT.TXT, utilities like
  9. BROWSE.COM, interpreted BASIC programs like SIY2LINR.BAS, short stories like
  10. ARA*.TXT, advertising like KILOBYTE, and whatever else floats by.  The idea is
  11. that even if the main part of the disk isn't of the slightest interest to the
  12. reader, she may find a kilobyter or two which will make her pass the disk on
  13. rather than reformat it.  For independent bitflippers, this is free publicity.
